My name is Melissa and I'll be your tour guide!

I grew up in the tiny state of Rhode Island but have lived and worked all over the USA. I've spent many years behind the scenes in the film/TV industry, and as much as I love it, travel and photography are my two main passions. I do both whenever possible!

I come from a family of travelers - my grandfather, the world explorer who traveled internationally in the 50s & 60s; my great aunt who gave tours in the states and other countries, eventually owning her own successful travel agency; my favorite aunt who lived in Europe as an au pair in the 70s; my great uncle, the travel writer; and my dad who has traveled extensively for work. They have been lifelong inspirations for me.

I also have two children, so I will write about my travels with them periodically. If you have a family, I want you to know that it IS POSSIBLE to travel with kids!  I invite you to join me on this journey in hopes to inspire you to travel. Life is short.... follow your dreams!
